Angels in Training

Last night I officially passed the gavel to President Gabrielle. Gaby announced that her theme for the 2011 – 2012 club year would be “Angels”, and that,

Everyone entrusted with a mission is an Angel…

And the love for our mission is how we earn our wings.

This is beautiful – as is the angel pin Gaby gave to each of us to remind us of our mission – improving the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world.

The Salt Lake Soroptimists have experienced first-hand Gaby’s depth of passion and her depth of compassion. We now get to experience the depth of her leadership as she takes us into the 2011 – 2012 club year.

Congratulations, Gaby, on your election! I wish you the best for your presidency, and can’t wait to start earning my wings.
